Make a Bequest

Make a Bequest to the CBCA

How to make a bequest:

Types of bequest - there are a few different ways you can include a gift in your will:

  • A residual bequest - a gift of whatever is left of your estate (or percentage of it) after other gifts to family and friends, taxes and debts have been paid. It is the ‘residual’ that can then be allocated as a bequest to us
  • A pecuniary gift or fixed cash amount - you may give a specific amount of money. This does not allow for changes in your circumstances or for inflation
  • A percentage pledge - choose to leave a percentage of your estate to CBCA

Please ensure you use the correct wording - to ensure that your gift is received by CBCA. We recommend that you speak with your solicitor to ensure that your wishes are properly expressed, inclusive of the following details

“… to be used for the general purposes of The Children’s Book Council of Australia (ABN: 14 009 580 956), I DIRECT …..”
