Orders placed after 3.00PM Wednesday, 21 December and through until Friday, 13 January will not be shipped until the National Office reopens on Monday, 16 January 2023. Digital products will continue to be available immediatly on payment from within your store account under Digital Products.



Australia Post Shipping Advice for Western Australia customers

We regret to advise that Australia Post are still experiencing continued delays with their standard delivery service due to the continued flooding, and high river levels across critical routes.

Recent changes to their to pre-Christmas final lodgement dates for deliveries to and from WA have recently been posted on their website. Please be advised that
Deliveries to WA from the east coast of Australia: lodgement by 8 December.

Delivery Times

During our out-of-peak sales periods between October through February order handling is undertaken by part time staff. Please allow anywhere between 1-4 business days to dispatch your order and the required Australia Post delivery service, which is typically anywhere between 2-10 business days, pending where the order is being delievred in Australia.

Shipping and Handling Charges

Standard Australia Post shipping and handling are charged at a base rate of $15.00 within Australia. 

Please note that our "Book-Week-in-a-Tube" product, flat posters, and wall graphics incur an additional charge of $2 per poster to help cover the cost of packaging them in a cardboard tube.

Items purchased from the Artisan Range of products incur an extra $44.00 shipping fee to cover the tracked shipping from Merchandising Libraries.

Refund and Returns Policy

The Children’s Book Council of Australia is committed to honouring your rights under consumer laws. If your product is faulty or is different to the product you ordered, we will assist you to fix the problem. This may include a refund or replacement depending on the nature of the problem. The Children’s Book Council of Australia will accept the return of goods for replacement when:

  • The goods are returned within 30 days
  • The goods are returned in a clean, saleable condition, in original packaging
  • An authorisation is attached for the product being returned
  • The purchaser will return the item at their own cost, we will issue exchanges free of charge thereafter.

Please note that discounted items cannot be returned for a full refund.
